Even for the talented, mission and meaning are in scarce supply. That's alpha on the table for founders.

Agree on this. It's pretty extraordinary that Elon has worked this hard for this long, and he continues. A true generational builder. And I am sure it has come at significant cost for him. Thankful for his work, but I could never do it!
I think SpaceX captures a lot of the alpha though! For example, I saw a rover lander startup, but why can’t Honda do this. Hardest part is building rockets. Everything else will have lots of competition. But we shall see :) I’m sure there will be other winners too, just think most of reward goes to them.
